Mumbai Blasts - justice delayed is justice denied.
In what is making news in Mumbai,apart from which socialite was seen with whom at a page 3 party, is the conviction of the accused in 2003 bomb blasts in Mumbai.
Please note this is only conviction. Sentencing is still pending.Then,any further delays. (like pardons,appeals,whateverthefook, etc.)
The 2003 bomb blasts did not make maybe as much world news as the 26/11 ones at Taj and VT. But they were no less painful, damaging destructive or callous. 2003 to 2009 has been almost seven years! And 1993 bomb blast convicts are still appealing their jail terms!
I am counting the fingers on my hand…what will it be before 26/11 justice is even faintly visible on the horizon? 2027, 29..uh??
Maybe India should recognise what it is not good at and ‘outsource’ meting punishment for terrorist acts and rape.
And, while at it, (yes, this is less a blog post and more a rant:D) what is this? For last many years- Indian govt favouring China for business deals?
In more news, don’t miss, Mehbooba Mufti, PDP chief -an elected representative and minister, woman- flings the mike at the speaker while assembly session is on.
